This hunting lease is located in WMU (7M) and is about 42 miles south east of Syracuse, New York. The lease has a gate in the main entrance that is locked. Just east of gate is the temporary access point until leased (see map- yellow circle east). I jumped deer in the first 100 yards. There is a beaver pond and swampy area on west border. The east border has a power line that heads up the hill towards the neighboring farm fields. There are lots of crops in the area, especially to the east and south of hunting lease. There is a nice ridge on east side of property that runs along east border. Landowner stated there are lots of deer on the property every year. The road is well posted. ATV use and camping are allowed for hunting purposes only. This part of New York has a great deer herd. Turkey hunting should also be good on this lease. Hunting leases go fast in Cortland County. Syracuse and Binghamton are both less than 50 minutes away!
